BACK TO THE START

27 JAN 2006. FRIDAY. 09:00PM.

The calm before the crazy lighting storm last night. The Oz Day fireworks came and went as usual, i haven't missed a year of it since i moved here, and i was about to bail out this year but i had no excuse of not watching with the new apartment so close to a great view of the skyline. So i invited some peeps over for food and drinks, and it also gave me the motivation to head outside to watch when the time came. Eh, it kinda looks the same every year (which is exactly what i said 365 days ago). At least this year i get to drink as much as i want, walk home, not having to listen to the oz day drunken chants more than two times and have easy access to toilets all night! I don't understand banks who give you a new credit card with a very generous credit limit and when you request to have that limit lowered to a reasonable amount becos A: you don't intend to make a down payment on a house anytime soon, and B: to avoid any unfortunate blinded over-spending, they say "i'm sorry, i can only downgrade your limit after 6 months of use". What? When did this rule come into place? I remember the early days of begging for more credit. Please sir, just one thousand dollars more? I promise i'm good for it. When did all that change?
